About Us

We are sisters that handcraft artistic literary themed soaps that tell short stories from Greek Mythology. The soap’s ingredients, scent, color, and artistic design are meaningfully chosen to bring art to even the little things around us.

We are two sisters, Crystal and Marlene Lizama from La Verne, California and have been handcrafting luxury shea butter and bentonite clay soap bars since 2009. Although we have been making soap since 2009, we made the leap and built the courage to become a business in February 2015 as Antiquity BC, LLC. We only use pure essential oils, sustainable ingredients, choose scents with no parabens or phthalates, and do not use any FD&C dyes.

What we hope to accomplish is to bring as complete of an experience as possible when using our soap. We want people to be amazed not just by the quality of the soap’s ingredients, scent, color, artistic design, and theme but by the amazing combination of all of these things. Our vibrant colors are made from clays, micas, pigments, and oxides. We limit ourselves to only what is considered natural by the FDA, meaning our colors do not contain lead or synthetic dyes. All soaps are Certified Cruelty-Free by Leaping Bunny, sustainable and 100% Vegan.

Mission Statement:

People hand-making products for people. It is our conviction that people are more than mere consumers, but are special and sophisticated individuals. And here we don’t just make soap, we hand craft art to help care for your body and beautify your world. Through our vision of transforming the mundane into avant-garde we are able to create a synergy with quality ingredients and art where beauty is on the inside as well as the outside, reflecting the real human beings that create it for the real human beings that use it. All this while also incorporating a policy of utilizing sustainable and cruelty free ingredients.

We are sensitive to activities and practices in palm oil production that affect our environment and wildlife and we believe in the production of palm oil in a sustainable manner. Currently, our palm oil supply comes from Indonesia and all our suppliers are members of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO); a non profit association that works to promote the growth and use of sustainable palm oil through cooperation within the supply chain and open dialogue between its stakeholders. More information on the RSPO can be found on www.rspo.org
